How It Works

  • Collect Samples: Collect your water samples directly into the sample collection tubes.
  • Mix & React: Add buffer and some of each sample to the prepared reaction cuvettes.
  • Develop Color: Enzyme reacts with phosphate to produce a UV-measurable color change.
  • Read Results: Measure the color with a photometer and compare to calibration standard.

Materials You Will Need

You will need a marker for labeling tubes and cuvette caps, and a photometer capable of reading at 360 nm which accepts standard square cuvettes. For digital precision and data tracking, the GaiaXus photometer pairs seamlessly with our kits and connects to the GaiaXus Android app or GaiaXus iPhone app for easy result logging and provides exact numerical readings at 360 nm.
