Alcohol measurement has traditionally been forced into a compromise between the "low-cost but inaccurate" simplicity of density tools and the "accurate but expensive" complexity of Gas Chromatography (GC).

Enzymatic measurement via Alcohol Oxidase breaks this compromise by offering laboratory reagent grade accuracy at a fraction of the operational cost.

NECi Ultra-Pure Recombinant Alcohol Oxidase is produced using recombinant DNA technology, delivering a pure, controlled, and consistent product with uniform activity batch-to-batch — eliminating the need for expensive equipment, specialized operators, and costly maintenance contracts.

Most AOx products on the market are derived from wild-type organisms and supplied as crude extracts. These materials often suffer from batch-to-batch variability, inconsistent activity, and limited purification.
