Optimize Fertilizer Application for Maximum Yield
NECi's Soil Phosphate Test Kit delivers quick, reliable on-site phosphate testing — no lab training required. Accurate soil phosphate data helps you apply the right amount of fertilizer for maximum crop yield, reduce input costs, meet nutrient management planning (NMP) requirements, and prevent phosphate runoff.
Kit Specifications
- Detection Range: 0 - 20 ppm Phosphate
- Results in less than one hour
- On-site testing - no laboratory required
- Easy to use - no lab training needed
- Environmentally benign
- Based on green chemistry enzymatic method
- Please Note - this kit requires a photometer to read the results
How It Works
- Collect Samples: Collect soil samples and add to extraction tubes with buffer to extract phosphate.
- Mix & React: Add a drop of extraction mix to the enzymatic reaction cuvettes.
- Develop Color: Enzyme reacts with phosphate to produce a UV-measurable color change.
- Read Results: Measure the color with a photometer and compare to calibration standard.
Kit Options
Choose from kits for phosphate analysis of:
- 5 samples
- 10 samples
- 25 samples
- 50 samples
Materials You Will Need
You will need a pair of scissors, pen, marker, and a photometer capable of reading at 360 nm which accepts standard square cuvettes. For digital precision and data tracking, the GaiaXus photometer pairs seamlessly with our kits and connects to the GaiaXus Android app or GaiaXus iPhone app for easy result logging and provides exact numerical readings at 360 nm.
