Quantitative Nitrate Analysis for Laboratory Use
NECi's Benchtop Nitrate Test Kit delivers precise, enzyme-based nitrate quantification for any aqueous sample — from wastewater to soil and plant extracts. The test tube format uses recombinant Nitrate Reductase (NaR) to reduce nitrate (NO₃⁻) to nitrite (NO₂⁻) via NADH, which is then quantified colorimetrically at 540 nm ± 20 nm using your colorimeter or spectrophotometer. No toxic cadmium reduction required.
Available Ranges
Nitrate is reported in different units depending on your field of use and where you live.
| NTK Test Tube Kits | ppm Nitrate-N | ppm Nitrate | µM Nitrate |
| Standard Range Kit | 0.5 - 10.0 | 2.0 - 44 | 36 - 714 |
| Low Range Kit | 0.05 - 1.0 | 0.2 - 4.4 | 3.6 - 71.4 |
Kit Options
- 25 Sample or 100 Sample Analysis
- Choose either Freshwater or Saltwater Analysis
- Choose either Standard Range or Low Range
Enzyme Variants
- Standard Range Freshwater Kit: Contains YNaR (Yeast Nitrate Reductase)
- All other variations (Standard Range Saltwater, Low Range Freshwater, Low Range Saltwater): Contain AtNaR (Arabidopsis thaliana Nitrate Reductase)
Both enzymes provide the same high-quality, reliable results with the key features listed below.
