Use this colorimetric test kit to measure nitrate levels in drinking water, well water, agricultural runoff, wastewater, environmental watersheds, groundwater, and more.  Monitor non-point source runoff from the over-application of nitrogen fertilizers; point-sources such as Concentrated Animal Feeding; point-sources from poorly or untreated human sewage; and nitrate-containing wastes produced by many industrial processes, including paper and munitions manufacturing.  Check to see if your water is within EPA compliance for safe, clean, water.  The EPA Clean Water Act sets the limit for safe water at 10.0ppm Nitrate-N.
